Instructor Course
In recognizing the need for dealing with aggressive behaviors you have taken the first step in developing an organizational crisis response plan. The CALM Instructor course will give you the tools necessary for developing, organizing and implementing your own crisis response team. Successful completion of the CALM Instructor course requires passing both written and competency based evaluations insuring that as an instructor you will be prepared to pass the skills you have learned on the rest of your facility! CALM Instructor Training Behavioral Modification Instructor Training Course A twenty-four hour (3-day) class for staff members to train and become CALM Instructors, allowing them to teach the other CALM course options. Instructors must teach a minimum of 3 classes in a two-year period to maintain certification. The cost is $695 (this certifies them for two years). An eight-hour Instructor Course Update is required every two years, which costs $127.50. These costs include their CALM Instructor Training Manual and two year certification card/certificate of completion. CALM Instructors can then teach the other CALM courses, certifying the rest of your staff, at a cost of $10 per participant, instead of the full $95 per participant rate. This cost includes their CALM annual certification card, however manuals are sold separately. Having your own Instructors also provides facilities the flexibility to hold CALM courses on their own schedules, certifying their staff as needed. * An Individual CALM Instructor may not train over 30 participants per CALM class to maintain the quality of training intact. * To have an Instructor Course taught at your facility, you must have at least 6 new Instructors.
An organization is provided the freedom to manage and schedule their own trainings through our Instructor program and it serves as a great cost saver during these hard economic times.
